This design feature allows you to avoid replacing the entire tool when the inevitable wear occurs.
For you tech-heads, Delrin is an engineering thermoplastic with excellent abrasion resistance and a low coefficient of friction making it ideal for machining. It’s commonly used to make parts that must be extremely resistant to wear such as gears and bearings.
To our knowledge, it is not used in bulletproof shields, so if you plan on shooting your ski tuning equipment, you may want to consider another base beveler on the market with a similar design that's made of polycarbonate.
